Weβre looking for a skilled CAD & Reverse Engineer to join our growing team in Ashton-Under-Lyne. We specialise in subcontract inspection and reverse engineering services and as we continue to expand our capabilities we are seeking a CAD & Reverse Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview
As a CAD & Reverse Engineer, you will be responsible for generating detailed 3D CAD models from physical parts, drawings, or scan data. You will play a critical role in reverse engineering components to support product development, legacy parts reproduction, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture accurate measurements and data from physical components.
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Geomagic or SolidWorks
- Perform reverse engineering using 3D scanning tools or manual techniques.
- Maintain organised design documentation and ensure data integrity across systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CAD design and reverse engineering.
- Proficiency with Geomagic and Solidworks
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Applicant must be a UK national.
- Must have a Full Drivers license.
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or defence.
- Previous experience with Creaform/Scantech/other scanners.
