Metis is looking to fill a CAD Technician role to assist with project delivery and computer-aided design.
About The Role
Metis have an extremely healthy pipeline of exciting projects delivering sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), traditional drainage and highway design projects across a range of local authority clients. The CAD Technician role will help ensure that these commissions are delivered to the highest quality standards.
The ideal CAD Technician candidate will have either a Degree Qualification or relevant professional experience. A portfolio of work will be required to be submitted at the interview stage.
KEY OBJECTIVES
The CAD Technician Role Will
- support our water and highways engineers on preparing plans and drawings, from concept to detailed design
- create 3D models for earthworks and highways surfaces
- extract and analyse quantities
- design drainage details, including SuDS elements and highways construction details
- research new ways of working and presenting outputs
- develop standards and templates
- maintain and improve the standard and quality of outputs
- prepare construction details
- ensure that drawings follow relevant technical standards
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- At least 3 years experience with CAD
- Proficiency with Civil 3D
- Familiarity with Revit desirable
- Competency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Capacity to deliver multiple projects
- Experience in working alongside designers and engineers
- Ability to integrate into a team, and consult with clients and stakeholders
