South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust are seeking to recruit three full time enthusiastic and skilled Band 7 Clinicians (Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, Nurse, Family Therapist) to join the CYP - Community Eating Disorders Service. The postholders will play key roles in an exciting new addition to our service: an Integrated Eating Disorder Outreach Team.
We are delighted that a significant investment has been made by the South London Partnership (SLP) Provider Collaborative to enhance eating disorder outreach provision across South London. 14.5 WTE of new clinical posts will be shared equally between, and embedded within, the two CAMHS community eating disorder services at MCCAED and SWLSTG, to create two 'halves' of an integrated outreach team.
The CYP-Community Eating Disorders Service provides an outpatient service to the five boroughs served by SWLSTG. The service has close links with the in-patient specialist eating disorders unit (Wisteria Ward) on site, outpatient consultant paediatric care provided on site as part of the MDT, and brief inpatient paediatric care at nearby St George's Hospital. We are an expanding, highly specialist team, combining expertise in CYP eating disorders with specialist mental health provision for young people.
The successful post-holder will provide clinical services including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of outcomes and the provision of clinical supervision, consultation and training. The post holders will also contribute to service evaluation, research and policy development. There are many opportunities available within the service in relation to continued professional development.
We particularly welcome applications from Black and Ethnic Minority candidates as they are currently under-represented within the team at this level.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment and management of young people with eating disorders
- Assessment and management of common comorbidities including depression, anxiety, self-harm and OCD
- Contribution to audit and research
- Contribution to service development and service management
- Provision of clinical supervision, consultation and training to other professionals
