The Campaigns team, which sits in the Communications Division, is responsible for designing and delivering targeted behaviour change campaigns, to support the FCAs objectives. We have a vacancy for a new post as a Senior Associate in the Campaigns team, focusing on communication and engagement with regulated firms and those considering authorisation.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyse and determine the best approach for developing a comprehensive and reliable dataset of the firm's population and utilise this dataset for effective communication strategies aimed at driving behaviour change within firms that we regulate and those considering authorisation.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that align with the firm's FCA strategy, contributing to UK economic growth and enhancing regulatory effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with data handling regulations, including understanding the purpose of data processing and maintaining permissions in accordance with ICO and GDPR standards
  • Apply expertise in database architecture to support effective data management, while leveraging experience in direct marketing to enhance engagement strategies
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing and behaviour change campaigns, that align with our brand, with an emphasis on the use of direct marketing and engagement to educate and influence firms to adopt the principles of our regulatory policy. Campaigns may include advertising, direct marketing, PR, partnership activity, events, online and printed material
  • Build effective working relationships with regulatory partners including the Money Advice Service, Financial Ombudsman Service and Financial Services Compensation Scheme and establish links with appropriate partners who can support our aims

What will you get from the role?

  • You will have a rare opportunity to directly influence firm behaviour and help shape a new way of working for the UKs financial regulator
  • You will have the opportunity to hone your marketing expertise and apply your skills to help improve outcomes for consumers and firms
  • You will enjoy a unique insight into the full spectrum of the financial services industry, with the opportunity to have a real impact while working collaboratively towards a common goal alongside a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • As this is a new role, the early part of your time with us will be an exciting opportunity to assess the way we currently communicate directly with firms and make recommendations on best practice, as well as implementing changes to refine and enhance our approach and deliver an improved regulatory experience for firms. This will suit someone who is as comfortable building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as they are versed in digital tools and techniques employed in direct marketing
