An exciting opportunity has arisen at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for a compassionate, dynamic nurse.
We are looking for someone who is eager and keen to facilitate a seamless service to patients.
The Cardiac Cath lab at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital is a busy department with patients undergoing treatments such as: Angiograms, PCIs, Pacemakers and Loop Implants. Although predominantly based at Grimsby, some cross-site work, to cover our services, may be required.
We have a close working relationship with radiographers, cardiac physiologists and consultants.
The role is vital in supporting the cardiac manager to ensure high standards of care are maintained. The successful candidate will be service-driven with the desire to improve services to our patients, whilst leading a team with positivity. They will be punctual, reliable, flexible and honest.
The cath lab practioner will be working within the cardiac cath lab assisting with cardiology procedures on both in patients and out patients. The individual will be expected to work as part of the team. They would be expected to deputise in all areas, clinical and managerial in the absence of the cath lab manager.
The post holder will be required to work as a scrub practioner, circulating practioner and also recover patients post procedure. They will assist with the day to day running of the cath lab and escalate any issues to the cath lab manager. The cath lab is a fast paced environment, so the ability to work quickly under pressure is vital. We use x-rays whilst performing our procedures, so wearing a lead apron is essential in our day to day work.
This post is to work in both Grimsby and Scunthorpe Cath Labs primarily. Some cross-site working to cover our services, including Hull University Teaching hospitals may be required.
The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.
Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.
As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.
We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.
