We are looking for an Analyst to join our Payments and Customer Service Operations team in London.

Profile Summary

To assist with daily duties of the operations & services outsourced from the various EMEA offices, primarily payments and Japanese corporate remittance activity. This includes customer and front office contact, working cross culturally and cross border. Display awareness to these sensitivities whilst offering a “customer first” support standard and ethos.

Administer EMEA workflows, handling receipt of instructions, distribution of work and controlling checks for work completion . Providing quality & accurate booking and settlement services across a broad range of operational activities.

Resolving issues and investigations in a cost sensitive manner, whilst ensuring compliance with all procedures (HO related & local variances). Adhere to the Mizuho London Branch Quality Management System in producing both timely and accurate work.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Process & approve items outsourced to ECFC Operations including customer remittance products and SWIFT & SEPA input/authorisation and monitoring.
  • Process & approval of accounting entries to legacy systems.
  • To report to senior staff delayed items, disputed amounts and provide updates on outstanding investigations.
  • Identify and resolve errors promptly, reporting to Team Leader/ Team Manager /Dept Head.
  • Report AML related issues to Senior Managers.
  • Provide prompt assistance to external and internal clients on communication via telephone and email. Escalating items to Team Leader/Team Manager/Dept Head as required
  • Adhere to the Mizuho London Branch Quality Management System.
  • Show ability to cross-train self .
  • Production of paper based account communication to clients
  • Co ordination of MIDAS Fusion COB.

Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

  • Understanding of Money Laundering procedures. Awareness of prohibited individuals, companies, countries and commodities as advised by the various global bodies including OFAC, BofE etc.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international remittance and cash clearing services.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Customer-centric career experience an advantage
  • Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance
  • Good working knowledge or Midas Fusion and G Base
  • Knowledge of ESPP an advantage
  • Basic level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Language skills are an asset, but not essential
  • Willingness to learn
