Introduction
Lewisham Council works closely with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and voluntary sector partners to provide integrated mental health services for working-age adults. We are currently seeking to recruit Case Management Officers for our community mental health teams and we want to hear from applicants who have a real commitment to empowering Lewisham’s mental health service-users to optimise their independence.
What’s the role?
Our Case Management Officers (CMOs) are based in multi-disciplinary community mental health teams located across the borough. CMOs play a crucial role in maintaining flow through the community mental health teams. CMOs carry a caseload of clinically stabilised service-users, acting as the main point of contact for service-users and their unpaid carers. They arrange and review strengths-based packages of care, and support service-users through the transition from secondary services to the care of their GP, empowering them to optimise their independence and to make the most of community resources.

Knowledge of the needs of mental health service-users is essential for this role.
Location
Lewisham Speedwell CMHT, Deptford, London, SE8 4AT but will be required to cover the Deptford area.
Special conditions
- Evidence of formal development within the field of health or social care, to equivalent of NVQ 3 level, or equivalent experience.
- The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary
£39,150 - £40,344 per annum (SO1)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
