The Role
This role is part of our new Schools Caseworker project. The service is designed to provide a dedicated caseworker for families who are identified by the local schools as struggling with issues that fall within the scope of our services and agree to getting support. The project receives direct referrals from local school pastoral teams, and in the future may possibly work in the schools themself, wherever possible/appropriate.
The successful applicant will need to be DBS checked, and act as a consistent trusted individual for the families, offering flexible appointments and direct contact by email or text message. As a caseworker rather than an adviser, they will not only explore all of the various issues a family is facing and advise them on solutions, but also help them with completing some of the actions required, such as writing to third parties, completing applications or dealing with services online or by phone.
Salary: £28,624 - 30,518 per year FTE (£11,449 - 12,207 actual)
Hours: The appointment is 14 hours per week (0.4FTE).
Contract: Fixed Term to 31 August 2026 (extension possible, subject to funding)
Holiday: 25 Days plus Public Holidays (pro rata)
Location: Citizens Advice Tadley Office
The role has the possibility of some hybrid office/home working to be discussed further at interview.
Applications: See our application pack (CVs not accepted) or for more information, please contact us at recruitment@catadley.org
The closing date for completed application forms is 19 December 2025.
