About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Category Marketing Manager to join our Pet Food team at Cranswick. This role will focus on both own-label and branded pet food ranges, driving category growth through insight-led planning and strong collaboration with customers and internal teams. The successful candidate will shape category strategies, analyse market trends, optimise product ranges, and support innovation to deliver sales and profitability targets.

What you’ll do

• Support the development and delivery of category plans for pet food across brand and own label.
• Use data and insight tools to identify trends, opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and retail customers to manage product range, performance, and communication.
• Contribute to innovation and product development to meet changing consumer needs.
• Prepare and present regular category performance reports and market updates.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in Category Management, ideally within the pet food or FMCG sectors.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proven experience in using market data sources.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and persuasively.
• A bold, positive, and ambitious approach with a genuine passion for the pet food industry.
• Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
• A creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
