About The Company
We're recruiting for a small but growing UK-based manufacturer of specialist medical seating. Originally an importer, they now proudly design and assemble their own products in-house—from frame construction and wiring to upholstery and final assembly.
They're a
tight-knit team of 6, supported by remote colleagues overseas. Led by a hands-on operations manager, our workshop is fast-paced, practical, and quality-focused. We value reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
Assembly Operative
This is a
hands-on, workshop-based role assembling specialist healthcare chairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble chairs and cushions using hand and power tools
- Trim and finish plastic and fabric components to high standards
- Follow clear build specifications and SOPs
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Work as part of a small, focused production team
No prior experience in medical manufacturing needed - full training provided.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience (DIY, trades, or workshop/production roles)
- Good attention to detail
- A team-oriented, can-do attitude
- Strong timekeeping and attendance
The work is
varied, not repetitive—ideal for someone who enjoys building things and doing a job properly.
