We are currently looking for a Chemical Laboratory Assistant to support our world leading clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as the chemist in the laboratory and drive the acceptance process of materials.
- Completing analysis of concentrations of chemical baths using titration's
- Safe working with acids and other chemicals
- GC-MS Analysis
- FTIR Analysis
- DSC, DMA analysis
- Taking swabs for cleanliness
- Taking biological assays
- Chemistry method development
- Acid digestion of composites
- Produce in house etchants
- Assist in the batch acceptance work stream.
- Assist with R&D testing and method development
- Contribute to processes and risk assessments being up to date.
- Working in a safe and tidy manner.
- Attending a 15 minute meeting on Wednesday (SQCDP) to flag any safety, quality or delivery issues that could prevent work being delivered.
Qualifications
- The candidate will be at Degree level in Chemistry.

- Solids content and density on various liquid samples testing
- Conductivity of DI water testing
- Epoxy/amine titrations testing
- Analysis of acid baths
- Analysis of adhesives
- Viscosity analysis
- Assessing non-volatile residues
- Using a rotary evaporator
- Assisting in treatments bath monitoring process etc
