About The Role
Reporting into the Quality Manager, the successful Chemist will be working in the Cement Plant Operations Division and be working as part of a team to collect and analyse QA samples. You will display a high level of safety awareness leading by example and ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and policies.

About The Role
Reporting into the Quality Manager, the successful Chemist will be working in the Cement Plant Operations Division and be working as part of a team to collect and analyse QA samples. You will display a high level of safety awareness leading by example and ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and policies.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you as the successful candidatewill be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and Company Health & Safety and Environmental standards
- Fostering safety and environmental awareness amongst employees in accordance with objectives and programs
- Reporting and investigating SHE incidents and near hits
- Responsible for the housekeeping within own laboratory area, monitoring the working conditions and environmental issues
- Conducting day to day testing and non-routine sampling and testing using XRF, XRD and other techniques as well as use of all associated sample preparation equipment
- Maintaining accurate chemical calibrations and routine maintenance of all laboratory equipment
- Providing reliable analytical services for Quality Control and Process Optimisation.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company Safety, Health and Environmental standards
- Partaking in project testing of potential new products or raw materials

- Willing to contribute to improve the work tasks or environment
- Has a strong appreciation and awareness for Health & Safety
