Are you an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist ready to take the next step in your career or take on a new challenge? We’re looking for a driven Band 7 Children’s Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and dedicated paediatric team at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

Through service redesign and development, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit to a permanent and brand new role of Children’s Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead for children aged 5-11 years to join our established team!

Main duties

This is an amazing career opportunity to work with children and young people with a wide range of developmental, neurological, and physical needs impacting on their ability to engage in childhood occupations, utilising advanced clinical reasoning and application of skills. The post holder will be required to effectively manage and coordinate a highly complex caseload of children and young people from 0 to 19 years across a range of health, community and educational settings, whilst also being responsible for clinical leadership of the 5-11 years service, supervision of staff and duties commensurate with a clinical leadership position.

The successful post holder will be required to possess leadership skills and excel at a high standard of working. You will play an instrumental role in the planning, build and review of the new service pathway and treatment offer for primary age children and to meet the demand of ever emerging complex needs and presentations.

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust Children’s Therapy Team offers high quality and evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
