Children’s National Safeguarding Lead

Home-Based with extensive travel across England, Wales and Scotland

Reporting to: Director of Compliance, Regulation and Quality – Children’s

We’re looking for a highly experienced safeguarding professional to join us in a national leadership role that will shape strategy, drive improvement and protect children across our residential, fostering and education services.

What you’ll be doing:

✅ Lead the national safeguarding strategy

✅ Provide expert guidance across multiple services

✅ Oversee serious incidents and investigations

✅ Represent CareTech at partnership and regulatory boards

✅ Work closely with senior teams to embed a culture of learning and accountability

What we’re looking for

🎓 Level 7 safeguarding qualification (essential)

🧠 Deep knowledge of safeguarding legislation and regulation

🤝 Proven leadership experience in children’s services, fostering or education

📊 Strong analytical, policy and governance skills

💬 Someone who leads with integrity, listens with empathy and acts with confidence
