Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As our Civil Design Engineer you'll be working on our Thames Water Capital Delivery contract based in the South London and Thames Valley area.
You'll be part of the design team which covers the investigation and detail design of clean water and civil networks working in collaboration with our design suppliers.
You'll be responsible for civil projects and reporting to the Design Manager. They can check technical documents produced by Design Engineers within their area of expertise and review construction packs ready for handover to site teams.
You'll need to liaise regularly with their design team ensuring that programme tasks and milestones are completed in accordance with expectations. The Design Engineer must ensure that all designs are completed to CDM 2015 Regulations.
You'll be in a hybrid role with some site visits, providing a technical professional design support between the design suppliers and our construction team.
You'll provide technical support for on site constructions teams, temporary works and lifting.
What You’ll Bring
- Are you a Chartered Engineer IMEC or CEng?
- Do you have the ability to demonstrate an initiative to work on their own and as part of a team?
- Do you have have good knowledge of water distribution systems?
- Have you gained experience of using AutoCAD Civil / GIS Software ?
- Do you have a knowledge and understanding of CDM 2015?
- Do you have an awareness of Process Safety?
