Role Summary

The Claims Executive role requires an energetic, driven, organised and intelligent individual who will be responsible for looking after our claims across multiple classes of business and on an international placement basis, with a particular focus on Property and Delegated claims. As Consilium continues its impressive growth journey, this is an ideal role for a person with ten years of technical / advocacy London Market claims experience who is looking for a role in which they can grow and develop their knowledge, skills, and career.

Role Accountabilities

• Manage a portfolio of US and international Property & Binder (re)insurance claims within service level agreements
• Work closely with our Property and DRS broking teams, providing them with claims information, advice, and support from renewals to BD initiatives
• Pro-actively monitor the Consilium and ConsiliumRe claims inboxes, set up new claims and bordereaux and manage and review them through to file closure
• Use London Market claims systems, process settlements, and manage a daily diary
• Produce and analyse MI; monitor the performance of claims service providers and comply with deadlines
• Build strong strategic relationships with clients, brokers, underwriters, and other insurance experts/vendors
• Use technical knowledge of complex claims and coverage law to advocate for clients to improve customer service and optimise financial outcomes
• Assist claims colleagues and take on additional responsibilities as required, peer review, undertake and provide knowledge based on technical training
• Work closely with OpEx and ATOMX teams; comply with all company procedures, prescribed training and regulatory rules and guidelines
• Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience of handling UK and international Property and Binder claims, cradle to grave, including complex placements and US & Caribbean CAT claim experience
• Lloyd’s & London Market claims broking experience is strongly preferred, with excellent working knowledge of ECF
• Ability to multitask, manage conflicting priorities and work well under pressure
• At least 5 GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent), including English and Maths
• Insurance qualifications, e.g. CII, are desirable
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Assist with the technical development and growth of the claims team
• Be an ambassador for Consilium and its claims team
• Knowledge of Cargo, Construction, Liability and/or Professional Risks claims and an ability to embrace new classes of business will be an advantage
