Guinness Property are seeking an experienced
Cleaning & Clearance Operative to join our reactive repairs team on a full-time, permanent basis in Cornwall.

Reporting into the Service Manager, the successful applicant will help provide a reactive and responsive repairs service to our tenants who reside in Cornwall. The nature of the role will involve supporting the day-to-day repairs operatives with collecting and removing waste.
This role covers the following areas in Cornwall: Bude, Plymouth, Launceston, Saltash, Marazion and Redruth.
Candidates must have labouring experience with additional skills in other trades, we ask that you live within a commutable distance of Cornwall to be able to reach our customer’s homes in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi skilled workforce: You will have demonstratable competence within the primary trade as well as experience in painting & decorating to enable the completion of repairs.
- Damp & Mould: You will deal with damp and mould treatments in occupied properties.
- Waste clearance: You will be responsible for waste clearance in occupied properties.
- Teamwork: You will assist other members of the trades team as required.
- Customer satisfaction: Our customers are at the heart of what we do, you will not only be experienced in a customer focussed environment, but you will share a passion for going the extra mile to get the job done.
- Health & safety awareness: You will have the ability to carry out physical tasks and be aware of health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, our customers and colleagues.
Role Criteria
Essential
- You will hold a valid driver’s licence as a company vehicle will be provided.
Desirable
- Experience of working in a Housing Association environment.
- Qualified to NVQ level 2.
