Applications are invited from enthusiastic, suitably qualified individuals to provide daily administration support service within our outpatient services within South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology. The post holder will provide a range of administrative and secretarial support.
The successful candidate will have effective secretarial and computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should be able to work on your own initiative in prioritising workload and meeting deadlines, whilst also being able to work in a team.
Full in-service training will be provided. The successful candidate will be based in the administration office within the Northern General Hospital.
The South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Pathology Partnership fully integrates the pathology services delivered on behalf of the Partner Trusts within the Integrated Care System (ICS) footprint; Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
- Type clinical letters, correspondence, and admin tasks from notes or dictation.
- Ensure clinical letters are sent out on time and to the required standards.
- Communicate with secretaries and consultants to meet 18-week targets.
- Check patient appointments, waiting lists, and tests, escalating issues when needed.
- Update RTT info and help with database management.
- Handle office tasks like photocopying, filing, and managing post.
- Provide phone support to parents and escalate complex issues
