The Client & Distribution Platform is at the heart of this strategy, as we continue to digitise our business and introduce cutting edge capabilities to transform how we operate.
The Role:
The Senior Change Manager is the elevation of a current role, recognising the increasing importance of Salesforce and client data within the marketing, distribution and client servicing journeys. The role has varied responsibilities, including: creating a client analytics roadmap, and influencing senior business and technology stakeholders to secure buy-in and support; leading pilots and feasibility assessments to quickly validate hypotheses; providing thought leadership, with a view on industry trends, peer performance and opportunities for M&G to differentiate itself; responsibility for delivery associated to the Salesforce and Client Data teams to support near term and strategic deliverables and more.
To date, there has been significant progress on improving use experience of Salesforce and client-level financial data (AUM, flows, revenue etc.). There is still extensive opportunity to harness the data generated from our marketing systems and processes, our client interactions and CRM data, and underlying financial data to create insights and give our distribution colleagues a competitive edge, increase ROI from our marketing efforts, and to improve the client servicing operational processes.
The individual will be required to:
- Create a compelling 12 month look ahead which encompasses business outcomes and data architecture, and secure buy-in from all required business and technology stakeholders;
- Create business cases to secure budget to implement the client analytics strategy;
- Work in partnership with technology teams, both onshore and offshore, to deliver functionality that is not available in the core platform;
- Collaborate with other data teams across M&G to ensure that any development is reusable where required;
- Identify improvements that address efficiency and scalability, or reduction of risk;
- Manage and maintain change backlogs ensuring priorities and critical requirements are delivered;
- Work at both a higher level, managing and co-ordinating the delivery of initiatives, or work in the detail to define and document requirements, process, etc, as require;
- Create a high performing team, fostering a ‘one team’ mindset with the client data squad and other matrix team members.
- Understand business requirements and propose solutions to those requirements, harnessing data from our strategic application estate (Salesforce, Adobe etc.) where possible;
- Develop a close working relationship with Marketing, Distribution and Client Servicing business stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress;
Experience and Skills:
- Experience working in an asset management or similar organisation, with strong knowledge of client data (e.g. CBoR and client insights, personalisation etc.);
- Excellent UX design knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience of working with internal teams and third parties to ensure that requirements are met within agreed timescales;
- Good inter-personal and organisations skills;
- Ability to negotiate pragmatic solutions that meet conflicting business requirements;
- Problem solving ability within a complex investment management environment;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to define and document business requirements and process flows to a high standard;
- Experience of providing challenge to requirements and proposed solutions;
- Ability to operate under pressure and deliver to demanding deadlines;
- Knowledge of Agile development.
- The ability to influence stakeholders by helping them understand the journey and guiding them through it;
- Capable of building a strong team and proposing improvements, to elevate the delivery process and the joint success of technology and the business;
- Commercial awareness;
