Reporting to the Chief Solutions Officer organization, you’ll be the executive technology sponsor and trusted advisor to C-suites in both the UK/London Market and North American insurance ecosystems. You’ll shape and deliver large-scale modernization, data, and IT transformation programs, harnessing public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data solutions (Snowflake, Databricks), and next-generation capabilities in AI/ML, Generative AI, and cybersecurity. As a commercial strategist, you’ll partner with account leadership to shape, position, and win major technology transformation deals, building compelling business cases and ensuring measurable client impact. Position Summary

The Client Technology Officer (Client CTO) is the senior client-facing technology leader for our strategic insurance and brokerage accounts across North America and the UK/London Market, reporting into the Chief Solutions Officer organization.

This role blends deep cross-regional insurance domain expertise with enterprise technology leadership to help global carriers and brokers envision, architect, and deliver large-scale modernization, data transformation, and IT transformation programs.

The Client CTO serves as a trusted advisor to client C-suites, aligning our systems integration capabilities with their strategic, regulatory, and operational objectives in both the North American and London Market insurance ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Thought Leadership

• Serve as the primary technology strategist for designated global insurance and brokerage clients spanning UK/London Market and North American operations.
• Engage directly with client executives to shape technology vision aligned to business priorities, market forces, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, FCA, Solvency II, Lloyd’s Market rules, IFRS 17).
• Provide insights on industry trends such as embedded insurance, AI/ML adoption, GenAI, digital customer experiences, cybersecurity, ESG compliance, and their technology implications in both regions.
• Lead co-innovation workshops to define next-generation insurance operating models.

Solution Strategy & Architecture

• Lead enterprise architecture discussions, translating business needs into actionable solution roadmaps.
• Govern end-to-end architecture across core insurance systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, Majesco, or other policy administration, claims, and billing platforms), cloud platforms, analytics, and security frameworks.
• Champion integration strategies that connect legacy platforms to modern digital ecosystems.
• Ensure solutions adhere to operational resilience, security, and compliance best practices across multiple regulatory regimes.

Commercial Strategy & Deal Shaping

• Collaborate with sales and account leaders to identify, shape, and close large-scale transformation opportunities.
• Build executive-level business cases quantifying ROI, TCO, and business impact.
• Lead strategic solution positioning in client pursuits, ensuring alignment with both business and technology objectives.
• Maintain visibility into client investment priorities and translate them into multi-year transformation roadmaps.

Market Development & Enablement

• Represent the organization at industry forums, client councils, and technology advisory boards.
• Produce thought leadership content – whitepapers, POVs, and conference presentations – to strengthen our market positioning in insurance technology.

Delivery Assurance & Governance

• Act as the executive technology sponsor for key transformation programs, ensuring delivery quality, technical integrity, and alignment with strategic business goals.
• Participate in architecture review boards and governance committees to safeguard solution integrity.
• Proactively identify technology delivery risks and propose corrective actions to maintain client trust.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years in technology leadership roles within insurance (carriers, brokers, MGAs, reinsurers) or systems integration partners.
• Proven track record of modernization, data transformation, and IT transformation initiatives in the insurance domain.
• Deep understanding of both the North American insurance landscape and the UK/London Market — including brokers, carriers, specialty markets, reinsurance, and Lloyd’s Market operations.
• Strong enterprise architecture expertise in cloud-native, API-led, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Demonstrated experience with public cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with core insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, Majesco, or equivalent, and related integration patterns.
• Demonstrated leadership in AI/ML, Generative AI, advanced analytics, and cybersecurity programs.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks: NAIC, FCA, Solvency II, Lloyd’s Market rules, GDPR, IFRS 17.
• Proven ability to influence C-level stakeholders and lead technology strategy discussions with measurable business impact.
• Commercial acumen with experience shaping and winning large, complex enterprise technology transformation deals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in global delivery models (offshore/nearshore/onshore) and multi-region program governance.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in blockchain/DLT and their application to insurance.
• Active participation in industry groups (ACORD, InsurTech networks, technology councils).
