Client Relationship Manager, Private Capital - The role:
- Lead the delivery of the firm's Clients & Sectors strategy for Private Capital, working closely with relationship partners to drive profitable revenue growth.
- Manage a global portfolio of complex, cross-border Financial Institutions, Funds and Insurance Group (FFIG) clients, ensuring high standards of coordination and strategic leadership.
- Use knowledge of client businesses and market data to identify new business opportunities, focusing on high-margin, complex work.
- Develop and execute action-oriented client account plans, aligning client teams with identified opportunities and promoting cross-selling across practice areas.
- Facilitate structured, independent client feedback and communicate outcomes to partners, ensuring follow-up actions are taken and communicated back to clients.
- Build strong relationships with key client contacts, partners, sector leaders and the wider Business Teams community.
- Champion knowledge-sharing around account management best practice and emerging trends.
- Lead client onboarding processes, support the implementation of Salesforce, and promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Manager, Private Capital - What we're looking for:
- Minimum ten years' client development experience in legal or professional services, with particular exposure to financial institutions, funds, and/or insurance sectors.
- Proven ability to build trust and strong relationships with senior stakeholders in financial services.
- Sound understanding of client relationship management (CRM) systems, especially Salesforce, and best practices in the field.
- Demonstrable track record of identifying strategic opportunities and winning new business from FFIG clients.
- Comfortable conducting client interviews for feedback and leveraging analytics and reporting to inform decisions.
- Experience in strategic account planning and white-space analysis specifically for financial institutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, including writing, presentations, and reporting.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to operate effectively within a matrix organisation and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding of financial services business models and profitability drivers.
