Grade UE02: £22,995 - £23,350 per annum (based on a 35-hour work week)
Full-time: 35 hours per week plus 2.5 hours of weekly contractual overtime, which is paid on top of the basic salary, altogether 37.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday - Friday 5am-12.30pm (times TBC with successful candidate)

The Opportunity
At the Hospital for Small Animals we are seeking a dedicated
Clinical Cleaner to join our specialist support team. This vital role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control across our state-of-the-art veterinary referral hospital, which also serves as a teaching facility for veterinary students.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Daily and deep cleaning of clinical areas.
- Infection prevention and control.
- Laundry and waste management.
- Stock handling and supply replenishment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining a safe, hygienic environment that supports animal health and welfare. In a joint submission to the latest UK Research Excellence Framework exercise, research at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (R(D)SVS) and Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) has been ranked number one in the UK for agriculture, food and veterinary sciences by combining Times Higher Education’s ratings for each institution. The judgement, based on the quality and breadth of research, maintains the R(D)SVS and SRUC’s position as the strongest provider in these subject areas. The institutions’ research environment was classified to be 100 per cent world leading or internationally excellent for agriculture, food and veterinary sciences research. The Vet School and SRUC submission was also assessed as being 100 per cent world leading or internationally excellent in terms of the impact its research work has on wider society.
Community
The School holds a Silver Athena SWAN award and the Roslin Institute holds a Gold Award in recognition of their commitment to advance the representation of women in veterinary medicine and animal science.
