Description
Clinical Diagnostic and Support Services Group employs around 1,600 staff working across Coventry and Warwickshire. The Group comprises Imaging (Radiology, Breast Imaging, Nuclear Medicine), Clinical Physics, Pathology Services (Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services, Mortuary, Bowel Cancer Screening Hub), Audiology, Pharmacy and Outpatient services.

As Group Manager you will be responsible for the daily and ongoing operational management of specific areas of the Group. In the first instance you will be focusing on operational support for Outpatient, Pharmacy and Audiology services, including leading on the delivery of local and national targets, and Trust objectives. You will also reach into other areas of the Group to support specific programmes of work such as business case development and implementation, Management of Change developments, and waste reduction projects to promote productivity and deliver financial stability.

As an influential leader, you will have a track record of operational delivery, personal drive, attention to detail and an ability to make measurable service improvement utilising UHCWi or other Lean methodologies. Your communication skills will enable you to work in partnership with internal and external partners to deliver the best possible care for our patients.

  • Lead and deliver Trust wide service improvement projects within required timescale.
  • Lead and manage relevant specialities, ensuring clear communication and robust implementation of policy, business objectives and agreed targets.
  • Ensure sound operational management of all areas with robust, reviewable systems, working with nursing and clinical colleagues as required.
  • Manage the operational performance of relevant specialties to achieve delivery of national and local targets through the development and delivery of improvement plans and reengineering of roles/models of care.
  • Deliver against agreed financial and activity profiles for relevant specialities, identify risks and implement and review risk reduction strategies.
  • Implement and review systems and processes so that Speciality budgets are effectively managed and financial balance is achieved, within Trust budgetary rules, Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions.
  • Ensure adherence to HR and governance strategies and policies within relevant specialities in order to achieve compliancy with Trust policies and procedures, best practice, relevant legislation and regulatory provisions
