Grade AMN2: £48,288 - £91,753 per annum

CMVM / Medical School / Medical Education

Full-Time: 40 hours per week

Fixed-Term: 12 months (with possibility of extension up to 2 years)

Edinburgh Medical School is seeking to appoint a Clinical Fellow in Medical Education who will provide academic support to students in Years 4, 5 and 6 of the Edinburgh MBChB who are part of the Scottish-Canadian International Medical Programme (A990), in order to optimise their preparations for Canadian medical licensing examinations and to ensure success in postgraduate residency training programme applications and interviews.

This post is full-time (40 hours per week); however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your Skills And Attributes For Success

  • A primary medical qualification (MBChB or equivalent)
  • Completion of Foundation training or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching, learning and assessment in the clinical setting
  • Experience of working in the Canadian or US healthcare system (desirable)
  • Completion of Canadian or US medical licensing exams (desirable)
