This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical fellows to join the oncology department.
This post is based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The post will provide an opportunity to train in all aspects of Oncology. It is for 12 months to cover maternity leave. The post would be suitable for ST3 level trainees keen to gain extra oncology experience prior to obtaining a National Training Number (NTN).
The successful applicants would be attached to an oncology consultant and would work similarly to our NTN’s. The timetable would consist of acute oncology work, clinic attendance, radiotherapy planning and exposure to clinical trials. On call duties would be available on the SPR rota for those with full MRCP qualification. Site specialisation can be discussed with candidates if they have a strong preference or are thinking of this post as a step to an alternative career path e.g. palliative care or respiratory medicine. Of note, all the 4 clinical fellows from 2016 all succeeded in obtaining an NTN in their chosen speciality and first choice of region.
