Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse, capable of demonstrating the appropriate levels of relevant experience, qualifications, and competencies to lead our nursing team in our Emergency Department.

The Clinical Matron will work in a 'triumvirate role' alongside the General Manager and lead clinician, ensuring patient safety, quality, experience, governance and financial management for the service.

We consider the Clinical Matron role pivotal in supporting the delivery of our vision. Within the framework of modern matron principles, your primary responsibility will be to ensure clinical quality standards are met. This will be achieved through inspirational and visible clinical leadership to the nursing teams within the medicine division, while also meeting key trust targets related to patient flow.

As part of the management team within the Division of Medicine, your role will be fundamental in enhancing the focus on patient experience and the quality agenda. This role is crucial in the planning, implementation, and delivery of emergency pathway services. You will provide visionary, supportive, and challenging leadership to enthusiastic and experienced multi-professional teams.
