Legal & Risk Services is a division of the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, based in Cardiff, which provides a litigation and comprehensive legal advisory service to the NHS. The above position provides a unique opportunity to develop your skills in an informal but challenging environment.
We are seeking to recruit a paralegal to assist the General Medical Practice Indemnity team (GMPI team) in the day-to-day management of the clinical negligence claims against the NHS in Wales. The GMPI team manages clinical negligence claims against those engaged in the delivery of primary care services on behalf of Local Health Boards and
NHS Trusts in Wales, including GPs.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in clinical negligence litigation and who has experience of working within a team environment.
The successful candidate will work under the close supervision of a lawyer and will undertake a variety of tasks such as reviewing documents including medical records, identifying and instructing medical and non-medical experts, assisting with drafting pre-action documents, undertaking legal research, entering relevant information on to the case management system and drafting advices to clients.
