A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 nurse to join the neurology service as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Epilepsy This exciting role will challenge both your clinical and leadership skills and provide the opportunity for you to gain differing experience in this rewarding environment.
As a clinical nurse specialist you will provide care, support advice and education for children and young people with a diagnosis of epilepsy.You will be involved in providing supportive care to children during acute admissions and during outpatient appointments. You will work closely with members of the MDT. Teaching and training is an integral component of this role both to staff, families and children.
This role is essential in supporting patients and families from diagnosis and ongoing care and management of epilepsy. You will be required to assist in nurse led clinics and supporting GP’s and schools.
