Description
A new role to join our Clinical Nurse Specialist in Thoracic. This role was originally established in 2022 and is now expanding to meet the demands of the service. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Band 7 already in post and Thoracic Surgeons to support the service users and larger Multidisciplinary team within Coventry and Warwickshire.

Secondment will be considered for internal candidates – If you are successful after interview, you must obtain approval from your current line manager to accept the offer.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

To provide a specialist nursing service for the care and on-going management of patients pre and post thoracic surgery. This will also include nurse led clinics for drain management, histology and preoperative assessments. You will participate in the provision of high-quality care from diagnosis to treatment. You will make informed decisions within your own scope of professional practice to ensure agreed standards and targets are met. The post holder will develop and implement opportunities for advancing nursing practice and ensuring collaborative working relationships, incorporating expert clinical practice, leadership, consultation and education
