Stockport NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting Opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Practice Facilitator to Join our Surgical Division.

We are looking for someone who has the drive to improve practice and is highly motivated, and has a passion to lead on change to improve clinical competencies for staff. Within this role you will be a pivotal stakeholder in implementing a robust Induction package bespoke to our surgical ward teams and departments. This post will be key in promoting learning outcomes for all grades of staff by understanding staff aspirations to take them to the next level, this may be from internal or External learning providers.

Have a sound knowledge of current issues relating to inpatient ward based nursing and be able to demonstrate clinical expertise and leadership in practice.

Lead the development and implementation of training packages for staff and deliver new staff induction for new starters.

Ensure all New Starters as part of Induction completes all mandatory Training in line with designated time limits.

Ensure all new starters are supported through the Preceptorship and Hospital Induction programmes and maintain regular contact with named Preceptors.

Ensure staff members submit competency passport within required timeframes.

Deliver classroom-based skills training specific to area of practice.

Provide direct Supervision for new starters in hospital /working alongside staff to consolidate their learning

Plan, Deliver and coordinate local Induction for new starters.

Assist in recruitment

Act as sign off where required for staff Eportfolio and training in general for the Surgical Division
