The Department of Clinical Health Psychology (South Warwickshire Foundation Trust) has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist to come and join our well established and supportive team based in Stratford upon Avon. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with an interest in working with people in a physical health setting. Whilst experience of working within physical health is ideal we would love to hear about other relevant experience too. We have two posts available. Applications from those interested in part time or job sharing would be welcome as would applications from newly qualified psychologists interested in a band 7 preceptorship.
We are a welcoming team of Psychological Professionals, including Clinical Psychologists and Psychological Practitioners providing a specialised Clinical Health Psychology service to patients across South Warwickshire. Our base at Stratford Healthcare, adjacent to Stratford Hospital, provides comfortable therapy rooms and a good working environment.
The post will be based at our department at Stratford Healthcare and will involve both face to face and remote working. Some work may also necessitate travel to Warwick Hospital and other locations across the patch.

Development and provision of high quality specialised clinical psychology input and advice to patients and staff working in the South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
To provide specialist clinical health psychology assessment and therapy to
patients. To provide advice and consultation on patient care to colleagues and carers. To utilise research skills for audit, service development and research.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise individual responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the role. To support workforce development by offering training and supervision as required

We provide input across all clinical specialties (including
diabetes, cardiology, maternity, gastroenterology, dermatology) as well as some specifically funded pathways (such as pain, long covid, cancer) and our department also provides Staff Support to SWFT employees. As such we have a wealth of clinical skills and experience to share and do so formally and informally.
We provide good arrangements for clinical supervision, line management and further learning including peer supervision in clinical approaches such as CFT and ACT. We have good links with our colleagues in Neuropsychology at Leamington Rehab Hospital.
We encourage research and service improvement and have strong links with Birmingham, Coventry, and Oxford Clinical Psychology training courses. Trainees are regularly hosted for specialist placements.
