This post is a Secondment for 6 months to meet the needs of the service.

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Occupational therapist to lead the Early Intervention Heart Failure OT service in BCUHB East. The post holder will also clinically supervise the community and primary care team based in Flintshire.
This post is a secondment for 6 months so is an ideal opportunity for band 6 staff to try a new role and the next step in their career progression.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will demonstrate and gain further experience in modifying the environment, equipment prescription, re-framing occupational goals, moving and handling techniques and the management of symptoms (fatigue, anxiety, breathlessness and pain).
You will have excellent organisation and time management skills and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of this post.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of junior staff within the team. Formal supervision and completion of annual appraisals with junior stuff will also be required. In addition, the post holder will contribute to the wider Occupational Therapy service i.e., audits, service developments, attending meetings.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
