As Deputy CT Lead you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our CT service. Collaborating closely with the CT Lead you will oversee a team of talented radiographers, ensuring the provision of high-quality care across 3 CT scanners.
Your expertise will contribute directly to the development of tailored treatment plans for patients, helping to optimise their outcomes and overall experience.
As part of your role as CT Deputy Lead you will be provided with training to extend your scope of practice by working alongside Clinical Specialists to develop your skills in CT protocol management, advanced scanning applications, dose management and image optimisation.
MAIN DUTIES
- Assist the CT Lead in the day-to-day management of the CT department, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and compassion.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of radiographers, promoting their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Drive the implementation of new technologies and techniques, staying at the forefront of advancements in CT radiography.
- Participate in departmental audits, research projects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Extensive experience as a radiographer with a strong background in CT imaging.
- Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering effective collaboration across departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of making critical decisions in a fast paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry advancements.
