This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 3 years to meet the needs of the service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a secondment to the role of Clinical Supervisor of Midwives.
The Clinical Supervisors for Midwives work as a team across North Wales to deliver effective clinical supervision for midwives and influence the quality of maternity services in the Health Board.
We would encourage applications from both Community and Inpatient Midwives with relevant experience and a passion for supporting others and service development.
The posts available will be based in East and Central on a part time basis. The roles involve travel between sites.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide clinical supervision for midwives employed by the Health Board in order to maintain and develop professional standards.
Through the delivery of effective clinical supervision for midwives, influence the quality of maternity services in the Health Board to enhance care delivery.
The post holder will have a proactive role within the clinical governance framework.
Ensure the Code (NMC 2015) and agreed national and local policies and guidelines are disseminated to midwives through group supervision, with the overarching objective of enhancing the provision of safe maternity care within the Health Board.
Support Revalidation with the NMC for midwives employed within the Health Board.
Identify and share good practice from the Health Board to colleagues across Wales through membership of an all Wales Forum for CSM’s.
