Role: Azure Developer

Contract Length: 3 months (extensions available)

We're working with one of our leading consulting clients supporting a major financial services project, delivering high-impact cloud infrastructure solutions. They’re looking for a seasoned Cloud Developer with deep Kubernetes expertise and a strong grasp of GitLab-based DevOps practices, particularly within GitOps frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Creation & maintenance of Kubernetes clusters (lifecycle ops, architecture & setup)
Create & manage Kubernetes operators, ensuring compliance and platform security
Construct and refine CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitOps tools
Automate & manage Azure infrastructure using IaC principles
Develop tooling and automation scripts in Golang and other relevant languages
Partner with SRE teams to resolve issues, monitor, and maintain system stability
Application onboarding, Helm chart deployment and manifest configurations
Collaborate with teams to enhance CI/CD workflows & developer efficiency

Required Skills:

5+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience (architecture, security & operator development)
Expert in Azure services (AKS, networking, identity, resource management)
Skilled in Golang or Python & general scripting languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell)
Proficient with GitLab, GitOps, Flux and Ethos
Solid understanding of SRE principles, observability and debugging techniques
Experience deploying applications via Helm and managing Kubernetes manifests
Knowledge of container security, RBAC, and policy management
