Tenable is a well-established, family-owned, precision engineering company, with over 70 CNC sliding-head machines at our London site (CITIZEN/STAR/TORNOS) and over 250 machines in total across the three UK sites.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Setter located at our London site. The CNC Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring that machinery operates according to specifications, monitoring machine tools and equipment, troubleshooting issues and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The CNC Setter will also be required to read and interpret technical drawings and collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise machine performance. Adherence to safety protocols and procedures is paramount in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up and operating CNC sliding head machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of machining processes and materials
• Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC programming
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing of engineering environment is a plus
• Relevant technical certifications or training are beneficial
