Summary:
Our Client is seeking a talented individual to join their team in Portsmouth, manufacturing high-precision components for the defence industry.
Roles and Responsibility:
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for operating and running CNC milling machines, working with Fanuc controls. Your key duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting geometric drawings to produce components to tight tolerances
- Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Completing production and quality logs to document actions
- Setting up CNC lathes to perform various tasks and operations
- Programming CNC lathe machines at the machine level
The Ideal CNC Turner:
- Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines
- Ability to read and use measuring instruments
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup
- Ability to perform simple tasks on other machine shop equipment
Note:
The role is for day shift, with hours of 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
