About The Role
As a Commerce Consultant – Digital Shelf SME, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering digital shelf and commerce strategies that enhance visibility, searchability, personalization, and overall digital experience across digital touchpoints. You will partner with clients to assess their digital commerce maturity, develop and implement strategies focused on content optimization, product data management, and digital merchandising, and guide the deployment of Digital Shelf solutions.
Responsibilities:
Client Requirements & Evaluation: Collaborate with clients to identify business needs and design tailored Digital Shelf and Commerce solutions.
Digital Shelf Strategy: Develop strategies to optimize product content, data, and assets for performance across channels like marketplaces, D2C, and retailer sites.
Content Optimization & Syndication: Align product data and content strategies with business goals, and ensure syndication across digital channels to maximize visibility and conversion.
Platform Implementation: Support implementation of Digital Shelf technologies, including PIM, DAM, syndication tools, and eCommerce platforms.
Analytics & Optimization: Leverage Digital Shelf analytics tools to evaluate content performance, generate data-driven insights, and enhance the customer experience.
Solution Blueprint Development: Contribute to the creation of solution blueprints and technical documentation that align with client goals and industry best practices.
System Integration: Understand and advise on integrations with OMS, CRM, ERP, and other enterprise systems to ensure a seamless digital commerce experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across functions (e.g., Marketing, IT, Supply Chain, Customer Service) to align strategies and drive measurable business outcomes.
Customer Journey Mapping: Apply customer journey and digital path-to-purchase insights to influence strategy and improve shopper experience.
Client Requirements & Evaluation: Assist in gathering and analysing client requirements to identify suitable Commerce technology solutions.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in Digital Shelf strategy, digital commerce, eCommerce transformation, or a related field.
Expertise in platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, SAP Commerce, Commercetools, and supporting tools like PIM, DAM, and syndication systems.
Deep understanding of eCommerce ecosystems, including how digital assets, product content, and data are created, managed, and syndicated.
Experience in aligning digital content strategies with business and brand goals to drive customer engagement and sales.
Strong understanding of analytics tools, with the ability to measure and optimize digital shelf performance
Familiarity with system integrations across OMS, CRM, ERP, and Commerce platforms.
Demonstrated success in cross-functional stakeholder engagement and delivering impactful digital experiences.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong consulting acumen and ability to interpret complex requirements into actionable business recommendations
Experience with Agile or hybrid methodologies and collaboration with globally distributed teams
Preferred:
Certification in one or more Commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe, SAP, Commercetools).
Background in consulting or agency environments with experience delivering large scale digital commerce or content transformation projects.
Knowledge of content governance, taxonomy, and brand alignment across digital platforms.
