Join Balfour Beatty as a Commercial Administrator – Rail Systems (Swindon)
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Commercial Administrator to join our
Rail Systems team in
Swindon. If you have experience in the construction industry and a solid foundation in commercial administration, this could be the perfect opportunity to grow your career with Balfour Beatty.
In this role, you’ll support senior members of the commercial team with a variety of key tasks, including subcontractor administration, change management, and other commercial processes. Your contribution will help ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our projects.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
- Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works
- Plan commercial activities to meet requirements of section programmes
- Have an understanding of delay and disruption programmes
- Measure & interpret specifications & drawings
- Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates
- Translate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates
- Use the company’s ERP System
- Collation of Cost and Value Information
- Preparation of Cost reconciliation statements
- Collect information required to specify procurement requirements
- Record and document information including registration of interest
- Understand the steps / documentation required
- Collation of cost and value information
- Measurement of works and agreements with subcontractors
