Overview
Are you a qualified solicitor with a passion for commercial contracts and a knack for managing legal risk? Gallagher, a global leader in insurance brokerage and risk management, is seeking a talented Solicitor to join our Legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts, provide strategic legal advice, and contribute to transformational projects across the UK and EMEA.
As a Solicitor in our Commercial Contracts team, you will play a key role in supporting Gallagher’s insurance broking and risk management businesses. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, Client Services Agreements, Insurer TOBAs, Delegated Authority Agreements, and more. You will also act as a legal representative on regulatory and legal change programmes, ensuring that Gallagher remains compliant and competitive in a fast-evolving industry.
This role can be based in any of our Gallagher offices across the UK on a hybrid basis.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Act as the Legal lead on material commercial and regulatory arrangements, aligning legal review with business objectives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, Client Services Agreements, Insurer TOBAs, Delegated Authority Agreements, and more.
- Provide legal counsel on regulatory and legal change programmes, representing the Commercial Contracts team in transformational projects.
- Manage a high volume of contract matters across the UK and EMEA, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Collaborate with external counsel, managing engagement and budgets as needed.
- Deliver legal training to trainees, paralegals, and non-lawyers, fostering a culture of legal awareness.
- Develop legal templates, playbooks, and efficiency initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, across Gallagher’s businesses in the UK and EMEA.
About You
- Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial contracts.
- Experience within the Insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the FCA regulations.
- Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and commercial awareness skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
