Here's what you'll be doing
Are you ready to drive commercial success at the heart of the UK energy market?
We’re looking for a commercially savvy and analytically minded professional to help shape and deliver E.ON’s trading strategy. This role is critical in enabling multi-million-pound profits annually by enhancing and optimising contracts with external counterparties. You’ll work at the crossroads of energy markets, risk management, and commercial innovation, helping E.ON remain a leader in a dynamic, fast-moving industry.
- Managing customer number and volume risk by analysing trends and external market factors — enabling E.ON to buy the right amount of energy at the right time.
- Creating, evaluating, and optimising new and innovative retail tariffs, ensuring appropriate value for the level of risk taken on.
- Developing, maintaining, and calibrating pricing models to ensure accurate quotations and billing.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on pricing logic during system updates and new product design.
- Monitoring commercial contract performance, identifying areas to reduce risk and improve returns.
- Translating regulatory and legal changes into commercial impacts for contracts and P&L.
What we need from you
- A strong commercial focus with the ability to generate and drive value from third-party relationships.
- Excellent analytical and highly numerical skills, with a structured, data-driven approach to solving complex challenges.
- A sound understanding of volatile markets, their key drivers (including regulatory changes), and competitor strategies.
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience or awareness of pricing and costing methodologies.
- Familiarity with assessing industry and regulatory changes for commercial impact.
