About The Role

Aztec West, Bristol (hybrid working)

Are you ready to bring your commercial expertise to one of the UK’s most ambitious engineering projects? If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to help shape the future of nuclear energy, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.

You’ll be part of a dynamic commercial team supporting the delivery of key scopes within the Responsible Designer (RD) contract for HPC. Based at Aztec West, you’ll use your commercial acumen to manage civil design contracts, support project delivery, and contribute to the success of both Hinkley Point C and future replication at Sizewell C.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary range associated with this role starts from £54,000 - £64,000 (grade B/C). We offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle. We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll manage a portfolio of live contracts, focusing on risk and change management. Your role will involve developing commercial strategies, negotiating contract changes, and ensuring that all activities align with governance and assurance frameworks.

Working closely with civil engineering teams in both the UK and France, you’ll provide expert commercial advice and support. You’ll also collaborate with cost, risk, and schedule teams to ensure consistent project progress and deliver clear, actionable insights to internal stakeholders and clients.

Your ability to analyse and present financial and contractual data will be key to driving informed decisions. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring that contracts are administered effectively and that commercial outcomes support the success of the wider project.

Who You Are

You bring strong commercial and contract management skills, with a solid understanding of best practice methodologies. You’re confident in managing contract performance, risk, and change, and you’re comfortable making sound recommendations on high-value matters.

Ideally, you have experience working in nuclear construction or similar large-scale infrastructure programmes, such as rail, aerospace, defence, etc. Your familiarity with NEC contracts and the UK regulatory framework will help you hit the ground running.

You’re someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values diverse perspectives, and is ready to contribute to a project that’s shaping the UK’s energy future.

Applications close for this role on 31st July with interviews following shortly after.
