A well-established M&E contractor is seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join a high-performing commercial team on a landmark development in Central London.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute QS with strong mechanical and electrical project experience, looking to take ownership of cost management, procurement, and contractual delivery across multiple packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial delivery of major MEP packages on a multi-million-pound commercial office development.
- Manage procurement, tender analysis, subcontractor negotiation, and contract administration.
- Track and manage cost plans, variations, valuations, and change control.
- Provide accurate reporting and forecasting to senior management.
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Evaluate subcontractor claims and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and financial procedures.
- Monitor project risks and opportunities and contribute to mitigation strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in an MEP Quantity Surveying role.
- Strong background in building services and commercial construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex MEP packages from pre-construction through to final account.
- Excellent contractual knowledge (JCT/NEC).
- Skilled in cost reporting, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead commercial meetings and negotiations.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial software.
