Your Impact
The overall purpose of the Commercial Sales Executive role at OpenText is to help customers leverage information to grow faster and operate more efficiently in an increasingly digital world. You will support customers in transforming and evolving their businesses to remain competitive in the market.
The Commercial Sales Team is responsible for OpenText’s mid-market account space, working closely with Solution Consultants and the Partner Ecosystem. The role involves presenting product solutions that meet customer needs—both to net-new prospects and existing customers within the install base.
This role typically does not require travel.

What You Need To Succeed
- Fluent in German and English
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in sales
- A proven ability to identify opportunities within your focus accounts list, install base, and total addressable market
- Experience in software sales, ideally within a large corporate organization
- A quick learner who can become an expert on new products, with a focus on SaaS solutions
- Strong understanding of strategic, tactical, and consultative selling processes
- Clear, articulate, and confident communication skills in all formats
- Ability to inspire, recognize, and reward peers effectively
