Role Details:
We’re seeking a seasoned Commissioning Director to lead end-to-end commissioning efforts on a high-profile nuclear infrastructure project. This strategic role drives technical readiness, operational handover, and compliance excellence—from design through delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning Leadership: Own the full commissioning lifecycle, aligning with project disciplines and project goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, design partners, and site operators to ensure seamless delivery.
- Regulatory Governance: Ensure nuclear safety compliance and secure necessary approvals.
- Project Execution: Drive planning and execution within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team with a focus on safety and collaboration.
- Operational Transition: Guide handover to operations, including procedural development and operator training.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement process enhancements and stay aligned with industry best practices.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed commissioning records and provide timely progress reports.
Key Requirements:
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and commissioning processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commissioning within the nuclear sector, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, nuclear or a related field.
- NEBOSH certification or nuclear safety-specific training
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 (optional but advantageous)
