What You’ll Do
As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of project execution, ensuring that nuclear systems and equipment are safely and effectively brought into operation. From planning and preparation through to on-site execution and performance validation, your work will be critical in demonstrating compliance, functionality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare commissioning procedures, test plans, and schedules
- Review and validate commissioning documentation and system readiness
- Supervise and execute functional and performance tests of mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, safety, and quality teams to ensure smooth handovers and clear technical interfaces
- Identify, investigate, and resolve non-conformities and technical issues during commissioning
- Ensure that commissioning activities meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements
- Support documentation of test results, traceability, and final acceptance reporting
Who You Are
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Mechanical, Construction, Nuclear, or similar)
- Experience in commissioning systems in nuclear, power generation, or similarly regulated environments
- Strong understanding of system startup, testing, and verification procedures
- Familiarity with nuclear codes, quality systems, and safety culture expectations
- Excellent organisational, communication, and technical coordination skills
- Comfortable working on-site and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
