Communications Assistant
Location: Central London (Hybrid of 2–3 days per week in the office)
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
VMA GROUP is partnering with a leading insurance organisation on the search for a Marketing Communications Assistant.
This role supports the full scope of the organisation’s communications activity, including media relations, internal communications, social media, and digital content.
The ideal candidate will be a strong writer, confident working with senior stakeholders, and comfortable managing multiple projects across varied communication channels.
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting and editing content for internal and external use, including press releases, staff updates, social media posts, and intranet articles
- Planning and publishing content across LinkedIn and other digital channels
- Supporting internal communication campaigns and external media coordination
- Monitoring and reporting on digital performance using tools such as Google Analytics, SharePoint, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, to support messaging and content delivery
- Assisting with planning and promotion of events and communications initiatives
- Maintaining content calendars and supporting governance processes
Key requirements:
- Candidates from both in-house and agency backgrounds are welcome to apply.
- Proven writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for varied audiences
- Previous experience in a communications, marketing, or PR role
- Comfortable working with social media and digital tools (especially LinkedIn and scheduling platforms)
- Able to interpret performance data and produce basic reports
- Confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
- Organised, responsive, and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- Experience with SharePoint, CMS platforms, or marketing tools would be beneficial
