What You’ll Be Doing
As Communications Manager (Digital
), you will play a central role in shaping and delivering SP Energy Networks’ digital communications strategy. Working closely with the Stakeholder & Communications team, you’ll ensure our digital presence reflects our business priorities, supports regulatory obligations, and enhances engagement with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Digital Strategy Leadership: Develop and implement digital communications strategies that align with SPEN’s business goals and stakeholder needs.
- Channel Management: Take ownership of SPEN’s social media platforms, website, and digital content calendar, ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging.
- Campaign Delivery: Lead the planning and execution of integrated campaigns across digital, media, stakeholder, and internal channels.
- Content Creation: Produce and manage engaging multimedia content (e.g., videos, podcasts, infographics) to support key projects and initiatives.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse digital engagement metrics, using insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Crisis Communications: Support the Communications Manager in leading digital response during storm events and other crises.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
- Innovation & Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in digital tools, platforms, and processes to enhance user experience and communication effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in communications, digital marketing, media, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing digital communications in a large or regulated organisation.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, content strategy, and audience engagement.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices, with experience optimising content for search visibility and performance.
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Experience working with creative agencies and managing external suppliers.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic communications advice.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
As a Minimum, You Will Demonstrate
- Proven experience in comms strategy development – with expertise in digital communications, including social media and website management.
- Strong writing and content creation skills across multimedia formats.
- Demonstrable experience delivering successful integrated campaigns and using analytics to measure success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools (e.g., CMS, social media platforms).
