THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO MATERNITY COVER.

The post holder will form part of a small team which will manage and oversee all aspects of the Charity’s communication function and strategy. The role includes general communications duties as part of the team that will encompass external and digital communications as well as specific responsibilities for media liaison and management, promoting healthcare services, influencing behaviour and developing and implementing public awareness, charity impact and fundraising campaigns.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will implement a digital communications strategy for developing the charity’s digital communications capability in order to follow the charity’s strategic direction and meet stakeholder needs.
The post holder will be required to develop and maintain excellent relationships with the charity’s stakeholders and will need highly developed negotiating and influencing skills in order to ensure high performance with limited resources.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications And/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Degree or industry qualification in communications related field (communications, public relations, journalism, multimedia)
- Relevant postgraduate qualification e.g. digital communications and/or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant PR or digital Communications experience
- Proven experience of working in the communications function of a large complex organisation. Experience of dealing with a variety of professionals and staff at different levels
- Experience of the delivery of digital communications policies and strategies. Demonstrable experience of using a web content management system
Desirable criteria
- Experience of digital communications in the public sector
