In-person at Central London (EC2) office with flexibility to work remotely 1 day per week

Type:

Fellowship (12 months starting August/September 2025) with a potential for permanent employment thereafter subject to mutual agreement

The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Fellow to join our team during an active investment phase. The individual’s primary focus will be operations, community building and investor relations.

You will work directly with our General Partners, Head of Platform, and wider team to strengthen our internal operations and enhance engagement with our two most important communities: the start-up founders we invest in and the limited partners who invest in our funds.

This is a unique opportunity for a versatile, driven individual looking to pivot into or advance their career in venture capital. You will gain exposure to all aspects of running a VC fund – from fund operations to portfolio support, brand building and investor relations.

What You’ll Do:

Business Operations:

• Internal business systems: Maintain and improve internal workflows and databases (CRMs, deal flow database, regulatory compliance tracking) and knowledge management tools
• Portfolio support: Assist with cap table updates, fund administrator coordination and quarterly reporting
• Process optimisation: Identify and implement improvements across all operational processes

Community engagement:

• Investor relations: Help draft LP updates, newsletters, and reports to communicate fund performance, insight and co-investment opportunities
• Founder support: Help provide value-add support to our portfolio community through intra-portfolio introductions and external engagement with strategic partners
• Wider community: Organise and run events to strengthen connectivity with wider communities (angel investor networks, industry partners, accelerators, University business incubators etc)

Special projects:

• Brand and content: assist with initiatives to strengthen Outward’s presence, including social media, event planning and content creation
• Marketing collateral: help design and maintain marketing assets such as the website, investment decks and other branding materials

Nice-to-haves:

·      Working experience in operations, finance, marketing, community building or event planning

·      Familiarity with tools such as CRMs, private company databases and similar platforms
